John first joined us way back in 2008, then left us for a few months in 2025, then came back in 2026 because he missed us so much. Unfortunately his crappy jokes haven't improved while he was away!

Drums and percussion
The longest-serving member of H&G, Mike has been our resident stick monkey for over seventeen years. His authentic ska rhythms and fabulous sense of timing keeps us... well, as tight as a drum!

Keys
Ian was our 'go-to' dep keys player but has now joined us as our newest full-time band member. He brings a wealth of experience over more years than he cares to remember!
Hannah
Sax
Hannah depped for us on many occasions before deciding to join us full-time. She brings that crucial sax sound to our performances - you can't have ska without sax!
Phil
Guitar and backing vocals
Phil depped for us on guitar for many years, but in a moment of weakness he agreed to join us in a full-time capacity. His huge guitar collection has attracted a whole new legion of nerds to our fanbase!
